Award-winning artist exhibit at Rankin Art Gallery

“Journey: Life from the Inside Out,” an exhibit of works by award-winning Kendall College of Art and Design graduate Shelley Newman Stevens, is now showing in the Rankin Art Galley.

The exhibit will last until Nov. 20 and will feature figurative oil paintings. Stevens graduated with her Masters of Fine Art from Kendall in 2004. She now works as an assistant professor in the Fine Arts Department at Central Michigan University and is a studio artist at Golden Apple Studio in Mt. Pleasant.

K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award

The K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award recognizes current doctoral students who have shown their leadership ability and commitment to development.

According to University Advancement and Marketing, “Four Cohort One members enrolled in Ferris’ Doctorate in Community College Leadership program were nominated for the award.”

The nominees were selected by DCCL faculty and administrators.

Eisler announced to Board of Directors

As announced at a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 30, President Eisler has been appointed to the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ Board of Directors.

AASCU is a higher education association of more than 400 public colleges, universities and systems.
