Live United Color War

On Saturday, Sept. 28, Live United is hosting a color obstacle course. This event is similar to the famous Color Run, but rather than a 5K, it’s a fun course with color being thrown and music playing throughout.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. at the intramural fields. The cost for pre-registration is $12 and day-of registration is $15. Cost includes two color packets and a t-shirt will be given to the first 300 people.

Homecoming week begins

Homecoming week kicks off Sunday, Sept. 29, with the Bed Sheet Banner Contest. Ferris RSOs and Residence Halls are encouraged to create banners featuring the homecoming theme, Bulldog Beach Bash, out of bed sheets. The banners will be displayed in the Ferris Recreation Center.

The Lip Sync Contest
will be held in Williams Auditorium at 7 p.m. Monday. Students are asked to bring donations to the United Way for the People’s Choice Award.

The annual Kickball Tournament will take place at Top Taggart Field Tuesday at
7 p.m. Students must fill out entry forms to participate in the tournament. Forms are available online.

Director and Ferris alumnus James Gartner to speak

On Oct. 1, Ferris graduate James Gartner will share his experiences directing commercials for many large name companies such as Visa, Disney, FedEx, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Hallmark and more as well as the movie “Glory Road.”

This event will take place in the Business Building in room 111 at 11 a.m.

PRSSA and AMA will be hosting this event. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
