Ferris rises in recent university rankings

Ferris State University was listed at No. 16 in “U.S. News” and the “World Report” ranking of midwestern regional public universities in 2013.

While many variables make up each college or university’s final ranking, the three largest factors are undergraduate academic reputation, student retention and faculty resources.

This gain of 11 places from 2012 is largely due to individual student achievement. Ferris’ four, five and six-year gradation rates have seen increases since 2001.
