Dietrich Lever
Point Guard
Lever, a junior point guard out of Canton, has taken over the Ferris State offensive attack.
Lever posted a season-opening double-double. He scored 15 and had 10 assists against Madonna in Big Rapids.
The 5-foot-9-inch junior will start at point guard for the Bulldogs to start the regular season.
During the 2012-13 campaign, Lever started 27 games and averaged 32 minutes per game, where he posted 10 points and 2.9 assists per game.
Lever is the cousin of Lafayette “Fat” Lever, who played in the NBA for 12 years between 1982-1994. “Fat” Lever is 5th all-time in steals per game with 2.22 and a two-time all-star.
Lever and the Bulldogs don’t return to Wink until December 5 at 8 p.m. when they face Lake Erie.
