Junior goaltender CJ Motte led his team this year by helping them reach the NCAA Tournament for the third time in Ferris State history.

Motte had a 35-save shutout during the game against Colgate, which was his fifth shutout of the season.

He was awarded the first star of the game. Motte was then awarded the third star of the game in the Bulldogs’ last game of the season.

Motte had 23 saves against North Dakota in the 2-1 double overtime season- ending loss.

Motte was the goaltender of record for all but one of Ferris State’s victories during the 2013-14 season, and started every game during the 16 game undefeated stretch early in the season.

Motte finished with a 28-9-3 record and currently holds the most victories for a goaltender in the nation.
