Women’s History Month
The entire month of March is recognized as Women’s History Month. To celebrate, events are being held on campus, including: #MAKEITHAPPEN, on Tuesday, March 17, “The Help,” movie showing and discussion also on Tuesday, March 17, the “Woman At Risk” human trafficking awareness event, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in UC 202A, and the annual W.I.L.L conference, being held on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in UC 202.
Provost Candidate Interviews
The Provost Search Committee has scheduled Dr. Paul Blake, who is currently Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, for interviews on campus on March 18 and 19.
The Extraordinary Band World of Valencia, Spain, and its Musical Evolution
This presentation is being held on Thursday March 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m, by Adrián Ronda-Sampayo, and assisted by Dr. Richard Cohen. Adrián Ronda-Sampayo is Musical Director of Games and Symphonies, the La Safor Instrumental Ensemble, the Sant Blai Potríes Musical Association, and the Santa Cecilia Choral Music Association of Ador, in the Valencia region of Spain.
Etiquette Dinner
If you’ve got five bucks, you can get a five course meal and learn how to have proper etiquette during a dinner on Monday, March 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. in UC 202B. Last minute sign ups can be made through OrgSync, but make sure to get your payment in cash or check to the CLACS office in UCB 120 on Wednesday, March 18.
Love, Life and Death
This showcase of one act plays, student produced and directed, will be held on March 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Williams Auditorium, with a Sunday matinee performance at 2 p.m.
