Fight between five females over hairpiece

Since move-in weekend, eight students have been referred to the Office of Student Conduct for possession of marijuana. Three of the eight students were ticketed.

Aug. 21 at 4:20 p.m., police responded to a disorderly subject complaint in Meijer.

Aug. 22 at 9:40 p.m., officers assisted city police with a car crash on Fuller Avenue. The driver was arrested by city police for operating while intoxicated.

Aug. 23 at 2:40 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Michigan Avenue at Maple Street for improper use of a turn signal. The driver was found to have a warrant for his arrest and was lodged in the county jail.

Aug. 24 at 6 p.m., officers investigated an illegal dumping complaint at East Campus Apartments. The subject was not a student and had been using the campus dumpsters for his trash.

Aug. 25 at 10:55 a.m., report of a two-car accident in Lot 46.

Aug. 25 at 8:55 p.m., officers assisted the Sheriff’s Department on Northland Drive near Arthur Road. The subject was placed under arrest on a felony warrant.

Aug. 26 at 8 a.m., officers investigated a trespassing complaint in the Timme Center. The subject had been harassing employees and was removed from the building.

Aug. 26 at 2:40 p.m., officers assisted city police with a two-car accident on Linden Street.

Aug. 26 at 6:45 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Knollview Drive for disregarding a traffic light. The subject had been driving on a suspended license and was ticketed.

Aug. 28 at 12:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street near Perry Avenue for erratic driving. The driver was found to be intoxicated and lodged in the county jail for operating while intoxicated.

Aug. 28 at 1:05 p.m., report of a large fight near Finch Court. Five female subjects sustained minor injuries fighting over a hairpiece. They were referred to the Office of Student Conduct. A warrant was filed to pursue further criminal charges.

Aug. 29 at 12:30 a.m., Ferris police assisted city police in an alley near Maple Street where a subject was passed out. He was found to be intoxicated and ticketed for minor in possession.

Aug. 29 at 6:10 a.m., Ferris police assisted city police in investigating a car crash on Fuller Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Aug. 29 at 10:55 p.m., officers assisted housing staff at Robin Court for a noise complaint.

Aug. 30 at 12:30 a.m., police stopped a group of disorderly subjects walking down Northland Drive. One subject was ticketed for minor in possession and referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Aug. 30 at 2:45 a.m., officers assisted the Sheriff’s Department with a large fight at Oakwood Apartments. Most of the subjects had fled when officers arrived.

Aug. 30 at 5:25 a.m., officers assisted city police at a house party on South Michigan Avenue.

Aug. 31 at 4 p.m., report of a Ferris parking permit stolen from Finch Court.

Aug. 31 at 8:15 p.m., officers stopped a speeding vehicle on Ives Avenue. The driver was found to have a warrant out for his arrest and was lodged in the county jail.

Sept. 1 at 11:45 a.m., report of a hit and run accident in Lot 32.

Sept. 1 at 11:50 p.m., report of an assault at Clark Hall. The female victim reported a male she was with touched her inappropriately. The male subject was ticketed for minor in possession. The female didn’t wish to pursue any further police action.

Sept. 2 at 4:45 p.m., officers investigated a trespassing complaint in the Music Building. The male subject was a nonstudent who had previously trespassed and a warrant was filed for his arrest.

Sept. 2 at 7:50 p.m., report of a two-car accident in Lot 32.
