Spring Practice Begins

The Ferris football team opened spring practice for the 2019 season Friday, March 22. The team, which is coming off a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship, also released the rest of the spring schedule.

The 15 practices will all take place at Top Taggart Field for the defending Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions and will culminate noon Saturday, April 27. with the Crimson and Gold Spring Game.

The Bulldogs will be looking to continue their success under head coach Tony Annese, who has led the Bulldogs to a 60-8 record over the past five seasons and three conference championships in that span.

The Bulldogs return plenty of talent from last year’s squad, especially on the offensive side of the ball. This talent includes 2018 Harlon Hill Trophy winner Jayru Campbell at quarterback, sophomore wide receiver Sy Barnett and junior slot receiver Dion Earles.
