Mursalata Muhammad – ASL Motivational Speaker

The Academic Service Learning Project will host motivational speaker Mursalata Muhammad on April 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. in IRC 121. Mock Beauty Pageant

The Diverse Sexuality and Gender Alliance presents a mock beauty pageant drag show on April 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rankin Center Dome Room. This is a charity event that will be collecting non-perishable food items. Each item equals one vote for a contestant. Unity in Diversity: India as an Emerging World Power

On April 15 Rochona Majumdar, professor of South Asian languages and cultural studies from the University of Chicago, will give a presentation examining India’s emergence as a world power. Greek Week Speaker

Film: “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”

“The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” is an Oscar-nominated film that tells the true story of a man who learned to communicate and write a book although he was almost totally paralyzed. Earth Day Concert

On April 19 the Professional Recreation Association and Ferris Recyclers present a free concert in celebration of Earth Day. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin will perform along with special guest Ryan Carignan. The concert will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rankin Dome Room.
