BIG RAPIDS — Ferris State softball coach Keri Becker has taken a position as Assistant Director of Athletics/Senior Women’s Administrator at Grand Valley State University.
Becker, who most recently was the head softball coach and senior women’s administrator at Ferris State, will officially begin her duties at Grand Valley State on August 8, 2011.
“We are pleased to have Keri join the Grand Valley State athletic department,” said Grand Valley Director of Athletics Tim Selgo. “Keri gained valuable experience at Ferris State both as a coach and an administrator and we look forward to her building on those experiences at Grand Valley State.”
Becker, who just completed her 14th year as head softball coach at Ferris State, compiled a career mark of 433-276-1. She guided FSU to one Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season crown (2000), three GLIAC Tournament titles (1999, 2000, 2005) and three NCAA DII Great Lakes Regional crowns (1998, 1999, 2008). The Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA DII Softball National Championships three times during her career. In addition, Keri was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year three times.
