Measure for Measure

The drama unveils in Vienna; the Duke, played by television and digital media production major Keith (Keebler) Horvath, supposedly leaves town and puts Angelo, played by Jake White, in charge.

Angelo lets his power get the best of him; he arrests Isabella’s brother for getting a girl pregnant. Isabella, played by math education major Lindsay Cyr, is faced with a difficult decision; Angelo will kill her brother unless she sleeps with him. “While all this is happening, the Duke is secretly watching and playing puppet-master,” said Cyr.

Bulldogs Sweep Again at Home

The Ferris hockey team is off to its best home start in school history with a perfect 6-0-0 record at Ewigleben Ice Arena this season.

The Bulldogs swept the Bowling Green State Falcons for their third consecutive home sweep to start the season. The Bulldogs dominated the first match as they skated to a 5-1 victory.

The Falcon’s struck first as they put the puck past sophomore goaltender Taylor Nelson, only 59 seconds into the second period. The deficit did not phase the Bulldogs as they went on to score five unanswered goals, four of which came on the power play.

The G.O.P. Comeback

Republican victories in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial elections were only the foot-in-the-door for any major Grand Old Party (G.O.P.) attempt to “take back” the country from the Democrats.

As much as I’d like to say that winning in New Jersey and Virginia was all the Republicans needed to forecast the political outlook of the country a year from now, I won’t. I’m not that naïve.

The G.O.P. still has too much work cut out for itself before supporters can even think about taking back the majority in Congress next year, let alone having a chance at the presidency in 2012.
